 Listing Your Holiday Villa or  Apartment

Help & Advice

What We Have Done To Help

At AMLA we like to think we know a thing or two about getting our sites and pages listed in the Major Search Engines so that we maximize the number of visitors that find our site and view YOUR property rentals.

There are several things we have customized into our software to assist in getting each page...i.e. each of your property listings ranked in its own right, so that apart from the hundreds of pages we are creating for each town and property type, every individual listing will also be indexed in its own right.

We Have Added;

Every Listing has its own specific Title ( This is the description in the blue bar at the top of the browser - This Page's title is 'Help with Listing Your Rental Villa or Apartment ). The title is one of the pages most important features in getting it indexed by Google.

The Headline on the Page is created in what are known as <h1> tags. Almost as important as the title this tell search engines what the most important 'keywords are in relation to the Page

An original Meta description is created for every listing. This description is invisible to the person looking at the page on the internet but is created in the code of the page specifically to give a short description to the Search - Engines as to what the page is all about.

Getting a webpage indexed for as many keywords as possible depends on the readable content found on the Page. This should be original - Google knows if you copied content from another web page and will discount duplicate content and not index the page. To help, we have given you three distinct content areas allowing you to write as much original content about  your property, the Area and any special instructions.

What You Can Do To Help Maximize Your Listing

 Content is King!

As mention in the left column, Search- Engines index original content and so when listing your villa or apatment rental what you add in terms of the descriptions is extremely important. Here are a few tips to help you;

1. IT MUST BE ORIGINAL - I cannot stress this enough. Copying descriptions from your own website will nulify your listing from being indexed for hundreds of small keywords. There is nothing Google & Friends like less than duplicated content...so please re-write your descriptions.

2. WRITE FOR A CHILD - There are two important people that you are writing your descriptions for. Your potential renter, the number 1 target audience, but also a computer algorithm called a meta-robot.

To serve both of these masters I would suggest that you first write your description for the renter.

The Property description: try to remeber what attracted you to buy the property in the first place and describe its good points.

Example

1. 'The main bedroom terrace gets the sun in the morning so you can have tea in the sunshine in your dressing gown which overlooks the town harbour'

2. Main Bedroom - Nice Terrace - Sea View

After you have finished writing your descriptions go over the piece again and sprinkle the definitive article back into the description. We find it much easier to write using the indefinte article but our Search- Engine Robots read like a child and only recognise exactly what you have written, so replace 'it' etc with the actuall noun......if this sounds like a grammer lesson I apologise!

Example (as in 1. above)

1. The main bedroom of the villa has a terrace that gets the sun in the morning so that you can have tea in the sunshine in your dressing gown which overlooks Moraira's Harbour

I have highlighted the additional nouns. These will help with the indexing and get you a better position in the search results.

Note: Do not over do it. It should still read first and foremost for your No.1 target audiece...the potential client.
